Bill Belichick has hired dozens of coaches and personnel people during his head coaching tenures in Cleveland and New England. Six individuals who served as assistant coaches under Belichick are now head coaches in the NFL or in college: Kirk Ferentz (Iowa), Pat Hill (Fresno State), Eric Mangini (Cleveland Browns), Josh McDaniels (Denver Broncos), Nick Saban (Alabama), and Jim Schwartz (Detroit Lions).

Additionally, four current NFL general managers were previously in Belichick's program: Thomas Dimitroff (Atlanta), Ozzie Newsome (Baltimore), Scott Pioli (Kansas City) and Mike Tannenbaum (New York Jets).
